The funeral of John Anderson was from Early Chapel, Monday at two o’clock and was conducted by Rev. Price, a former pastor of deceased. A great many were in attendance to pay their last respects to one they held in high esteem and the sympathy of all go out to the bereaved wife and children.

Earlham Items

The community was shocked Sunday morning to learn that during the night John Anderson had been found dead. He attended the moving picture show and also the oyster supper Saturday evening and seemed to be cheerful and in his usual health.

John Anderson was born in Sweden of Swedish parents October 16, 1845 and died in Earlham on Sunday, October 30, 1910, aged 65 years and 14 days.

He came to this country in young manhood in the year of 1870 and was married to Sarah Frances Stewart in 1875. Four children were born to this union, Louis of Dexter, Mrs. Anna Johnson of Earlham, Fred, who died in infancy, and Mae who is at home with her mother.

He was raised in the Lutheran faith but afterwards was converted by the preaching of Evangelist, J. H. Painter, and united with the Church of Christ, of which he was a firm believer until death.

He spent all his married life on his farm until the spring of 1910 when he with his wife and youngest daughter moved to Earlham, which was his home until the time of his death.
