Miss Mary Elizabeth Paxson was born in Indiana in 1839 on the 3d day of October and died June 19, 1910 at her home in Webster township. She united with the Christian church in early womanhood. She was united in marriage to John Harrison Oct. 13, 1858, who departed this life on March 27, 1873. To this union were born eight children, three of which remain to mourn the loss of a loving mother, two daughters and one son, Sarah C., Ida E. and James A.
She was again united in marriage to John Wilkinson on Dec. 25, 1895 who died Oct. 2, 1901. She leaves one sister, Mrs. Sarah King, and one brother, Webster Paxson, and a host of grandchildren and friends to mourn her death. The funeral occurred on June 22d from the U. B. church at Oak Grove conducted by Rev. John A. Campbell. She was a friend in need as well as a help to the neighborhood and a faithful Christian and a loving mother.
