Services for E. Carl Etchison, 64, of Des Moines, who died of a heart attack at his home Saturday, were held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock from the Hamilton funeral home in Des Moines. Burial was made in the Highland Memorial Gardens, east.

Mr. Etchison was born in Madison county, moving to Des Moines 32 years ago. He was employed for more than 20 years as a clerk in the office of the board of education in the state house. He retired when he became ill in December, 1946. He was a member of the Grant Park Christian church.

Survivors include his widow, Pearl; one daughter, Mrs. Homer Child of Des Moines; one brother, Eldridge of Bethany, Mo., two sisters, Mrs. Leoti Simpson of Des Moines, and Mrs. B. W. Stout of Patterson and two grandchildren.
