Retired Farmer Had Lived in County Nearly All of His 80 Years
William Young, retired farmer living in Winterset, died at his home here last Thursday, Oct. 30 at the age of 80 years.
Mr. Young had been a resident of Madison county for nearly all of his four-score years. He was born May 3, 1867, near Norwalk in Warren county, the son of William and Lucinda Young. He came to this county as a small child, and his residence had been here since that time.
During his active years he was a well known Madison county farmer.
He was married Sept. 8, 1918, to Daisy Klinehan, who survives him. In addition to Mrs. Young and daughter, Mrs. Earl Driscoll, he leaves a sister, Mrs. John Gamble, three grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Funeral services were held last Saturday from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home, in charge of the Rev. Don Worden, pastor of the Winterset Baptist church, assisted by the Rev. Linda Tolby. Burial was made in the Wight cemetery.
