Obituary of Blanche Guiberson Barnett

Blanche Guiberson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Guiberson was born in Winterset March 21, 1883 and was united in marriage to Fred Barnett, of Des Moines, September 7, 1903, to them were born four children, the oldest daughter, Ladeena died at the age of one year. Mrs. Barnett was ill two weeks when she was taken to the Mercy Hospital where she died March 17, 1910.

She united with the Christian church at the age of eleven years and was a true and faithful Christian until death. She leaves a husband and three children, Silvia, Jim and Flora B., also a father, mother, three brothers and three sisters and a large circle of friends to mourn the loss of a dear beloved one who has gone before. She was laid to rest by her little daughter, Ladeena in Oak Grove cemetery at Des Moines.

And as an evening sunset glow
An angel seems to stand,
Holding wide the pearly gate
With glory flood the land;

And in her summer sun sweet hour
We seem to see her wait,
Touched with the glory streaming
Through the softly open gate.
