THELMA ALLEN, Des Moines

Thelma Marie (Wallace) Allen, 85, was born July 19, 1924 in Jolley, Iowa, the loving daughter of Lloyd and Ethel (Jeffs) Wallace. She passed away peacefully Sunday, April 25, 2010. Memorial visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 30, 2010 at Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th St. Private inurnment will be at a later date.

Thelma was the loving and devoted wife to the late Herbert F. Allen for 66 years. Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, H. Marshall, Fred Lloyd and Marilyn Kay Allen. She was the loving sister of four siblings of which one survives, Wilma Penney; the loving grandmother to Michelle (Tom), Brad (Bea), John (Suzanne), Jeff (Jen), Angie (Rodney), Lisa (Dennis) and Jennifer. She was also the loving great-grandmother to fifteen great- grandchildren.

Thelma dedicated her many years to being the best wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her heart was broken with the recent loss of her constant companion in life, Herb. Thelma and Herb shall forever be together again

Note: Burial was made at North McDonald Cemetery in Jefferson Township, Madison County.
