Helen Breeding - Des Moines

Helen Louise Breeding, 85, of Elsie Mason Manor, died from complications of a stroke Thursday at Kavanagh House on Grand in West Des Moines. The body was donated to Des Moines University - Osteopathic Medical Center. Memorial services will be at a later date.

She was born in Mason City, Ill., and had lived in Des Moines since 1946. She was a retired file clerk with Look magazine and a member of First Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading and her fudge once won first place at the Iowa State Fair.

Nieces and nephews survive.

Memorial contributions may be made to Kavanagh House on Grand in West Des Moines or Animal Rescue League of Iowa Inc.

Dunn's Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Note: Burial is at St. Charles Cemetery, St. Charles, Madison County, Iowa.
