William M. Buchanan, 50, of Indianola, died of cancer Saturday at home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Federated Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be at St. Charles Cemetery.

Mr. Buchanan was born in St. Charles and lived in Indianola for 31 years. He was a machinist and a Navy Veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; a son, James of Indianola; two daughters, Jeanine Buchanan of Des Moines and Laurie Estaphan of Denver, Colo.; a brother, Charles of Duncanville, Texas; and two grandchildren.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at Hamilton's Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
