Rachel C. Anderson was born in Marion county, Iowa, March 22, 1854, and died Jan. 14, 1914, age 61 years, 9 months and 22 days.
She was one of seven children born to Julius S. and Edith Bridges, two girls and five boys: Mrs. Louisa Stevens of Farnhamville, Iowa, C. P. of Albion, Nebr., J. C. of Kerney, Nebr., H. D. of Red Oak, Iowa and J. D. of Arcadia, Nebr. H. D. and J. D. Bridges and a nephew, Lewis Stevens were present at the funeral.
She was married May 16, 1875 to Joseph T. Anderson, who died in the spring of 1905. Five sons were born to this union: William, Charles, Walter, Elven (who died in infancy) and DeWitt.
About 20 years ago, she made profession of faith in Christ. Funeral services were held at the home on Jan. 16th at 10 a.m., conducted by Rev. L. F. Davis. Interment in the McGinnis cemetery near Patterson.
