SAMUEL A. McCULLOCH

Samuel Allen McCulloch, youngest son of James and Martha Walls McCulloch was born March 4, 1861 at East Waterford, Juanita county, Pa., and died at his home in Lincoln township, May 8, 1917, aged 56 years, 2 months and 4 days.

He came to Illinois in 1878 and was united in marriage May 11, 1887 to Miss Mary Schulz at Toulon, Ill. To this union were born one son and three daughters. He came to Iowa March 9, 1911 and has resided here ever since. He was a good neighbor, a kind and loving husband and father. He united with the M. E. church in early manhood.

He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife and four children: Ethel and Claude at home, Mrs. Lester Wade of Winterset and Mrs. Mildred Alshouse of Oelwein, Iowa; four grandchildren, two brothers, James and John McCulloch of Toulon, Ill.; one sister, Mrs. James Pollock of Dunlap, Ill., besides hosts of friends.

The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Cable at the M. E. church at 2 o'clock Thursday, May 10th and he was laid to rest in the Rock City cemetery in Winterset.
