MARGARET MICHAEL, DYERSVILLE

Margaret A. Michael, 91, of Dyersville and formerly of Truro, died April 1, 2010, at Chateau Royale in Worthington, Iowa.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 6, at Kale Funeral Home in Truro with the Rev. Kevin Smith officiating. Burial was at Young Cemetery, Truro. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Dubuque. Condolences may be made at www.kramerfuneral.com.

Margaret Michael was born March 9, 1919, in Cold Springs, Minn., to Albert and Augusta (Lorenz) Veenstra. She graduated from Goodell High School and, in 1942, from Thompson Beauty School. Margaret retired from her cosmetology career in 2002. Her marriage to Harry Michael took place Dec. 30, 1948, in Des Moines. Together they farmed near Truro. Margaret was active with the United Methodist Church in Truro.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a sister, Eula Trampel.

She is survived by one daughter, Joan Zitelman of Dyersville; a sister, Mildred Busse of Carol Stream, Ill.; and four grandsons.
