Inez Louise Craig of Des Moines, a former resident of Madison County, died May 5 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. She was 64 years of age. Inez Craig was born in Warren County on July 18, 1909, the daughter of Charles and Ida (Strable) Smull.
She was educated at St. Charles and and married Eldon Brafford in 1929. She moved to Des Moines in 1950 when she was married to Warren Craig of Des Moines.
Survivors include her husband, Warren, of Des Moines, two daughters, Twila Tennell, of Thermont, Maryland, and Phyllis Doughten, of Des Moines, and a son Charles Brafford of Des Moines. She is also survived by two stepchildren, seven step grandchildren, five step great-grandchildren, and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. this Thursday, May 9, at the St. Charles United Methodist Church with the Eldon Rungle officiating. Burial will be in the St. Charles Cemetery.
