Page 4ROSE PEARL PERRY Dies in Des Moines
Mrs. Rose Pearl Perry of Des Moines, a native of Madison county, died Friday, Nov. 20, 1964 at a Des Moines hospital. She was 77 years of age.
Mrs. Perry was the former Rose Pearl Allen, daughter of Albert and Mahalia Parker Allen, she was born in Madison county Nov. 4, 1887, and spent 50 years of her life here.
She was married here Oct. 16, 1906, to James R. Perry. His death occurred in 1944.
Mrs. Perry was a member of the Baptist church.
She leave four daughters, Mrs. Velda Osborn, Mrs. Mary Howard, Mrs. Jean Miller and Mrs. Doris Leo, all of Des Moines; 12 grandchildren; a brother, Vernon Allen of Bailinger, Tex.; and five sisters, Mrs. Elsie Kirk and Mrs. Cecil Osborn of Winterset, Mrs. Neta Wilkins of Loup City, Nebr., Mrs. Edith Graham of Frances, Washington, and Mrs. Leone Shelley of Indianola.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 23, from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset conducted by the Rev. Frank Gardner of Des Moines. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
