SOLOMON A. BREEDING

Solomon A. Breeding was born in Madison county, Ia. Sept. 13, 1879 and died in St. Luke's hospital at Bluefield, West Virginia, Nov. 16, 1907, of typhoid fever, aged 28 years, 2 months and 3 days. He was the son of James Breeding the late sheriff of Madison county and is survived by a mother, six brothers and two sisters.

At the time of his death he was a traveling salesman for the S. O. Gregory wholesale vinegar house, of Paducah, Ky.

Sol, as he was familiarly called, was one of Madison county's most representative young men and had a host of warm friends. He was a man of high moral principles and it was the great object of his life to fit himself so as to be able to fill any business avenue.

At the time of his father's death, the county commissioners on Sept. 26, 1903, appointed him to fill the vacancy until the ensuing election and at the election to fill out the unexpired term of his father's, which he did with great credit.

The heart felt sympathy of his friends are extended to his bereaved relatives in this their sad hour.

Note: Burial in Union Chapel South cemetery
