CLARA JANE GOWIN

Clara Jane Bonine, daughter of Ellenwood and Rebecca Bonine, was born in Madison county, Iowa, June 13, 1865 and departed this life November 15, 1907, at the age of forty-two years, five months and two days.

She was converted at an early age and united with the Methodist church at Fairview and remained a consistant member till removed from earth to her home in heaven. Miss Bonine was united in marriage to Jesse Gowin July 29, 1890.To this union were born four children, all of whom are living.

The remains were laid to rest in the Fairview cemetery November 17, 1907. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. F. Gibson, pastor of the M. E. church at DeSoto, assisted by the pastor of the M. E. church at Earlham. A very large congregation at the funeral was an evidence of the esteem in which the family were held.
