Churchville

Josephine Mabel Couch passed away on Monday, March 22, 2010, in Topeka, KS from heart failure. She was born on April 3, 1925, to George and Mabel Faux Cooper, the oldest of twelve children.

She was married to James T. Couch and to this union six children were born. She lived in the Patterson and Churchville area all of her life and was a homemaker who loved family get-togethers, flowers and a good laugh.

She is survived by her children Beverly (Lee) Reinholdt, Jim (Myrna) Couch, Pam (Dave) Jarvis and Angie (Paul) O’Mara; sisters Dorothy Hayes, Zola Sheely, Shirley Freeman, Barbara Seymour and Sharon Truelson; brother Bob Cooper; ten grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great- great- grandson.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, James; sons Steven and Randy; sisters Pearl Cronk, Daisy Maxon and Thelma Cooper; and brothers Orville and Byron.

Services will be held at Church of Assumption in Churchville on Friday, March 26 at 11 a.m. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. with the rosary following at Peterson Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of Assumption in Churchville.
