Barney

T. Wright, who lives near Kasson, accidentally shot himself Sunday while hunting and only lived a short time. His wife was at the bedside of her father who is seriously ill when the sad news reached her. She arrived at her home a short time before he died. He was laid to rest in the Barney cemetery Tuesday. He leaves a wife and one child who have the sympathy of their many friends in their sudden bereavement.

HUNTING ACCIDENT ENDS FATALLY

Thos. Wright of Grand River Township Pulls Gun Through a Fence and is Killed

Thos. Wright of Grand River township met death in a hunting accident which occurred near his home five miles southeast of Macksburg on last Sunday morning. Wright in company with Charles Gilbert went rabbit hunting. Wright used a hammer gun and in crossing a wire fence, discharged his gun. The charge entered the head just above the eye. The accident occurred at 11 o’clock and he died four hours later.

The unfortunate young man was about 37 years of age and lived on the Gilbert farm. He leaves a wife and one child. Funeral services were held from the home on Tuesday and burial made in Barney cemetery.
