Helen Grace Jesse, 96, passed away at The Shores in Pleasant Hill March 10, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 15, 2010 at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. followed by burial at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Helen was born November 12, 1913 in Patterson, Iowa to Lester and Augusta "Gussie" Mahan. She retired from Tones. Helen loved flea markets, garage sales, collecting cookie jars and knitting afghans. She was very social and loved being with family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Glen (Cheryl) Jesse; daughter-in-law, Darlene Jesse; seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; and two sons, Rollin "Ed" and Norman.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grant Park Christian Church.
