DIED: March 16th, 1873 at the residence of Marion Carey, Beeson Barker, aged 76 years, 10 months and 5 days.

Forty one years has he spent in the service of God. He was a baptist minister as long as health would permit.

He was born in North Carolina, May 10, A.D., 1802, and lived there until 1828, then moved to Indiana and lived there until 1854 when he emigrated to Iowa. He settled in Union county of Grand River, on the farm that Mr. Stalcup now owns
