MRS. NANCY WHITE

Mrs. Nancy White, the aged mother of Willis, Jake and Frank White, died very suddenly yesterday, February 27th at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Bert Shaffer, of Douglas Township.

Nancy Elizabeth Titus was born Jan. 6, 1837 in Ohio and departed this life Feb. 27, 1907. When she was three years old she moved to Indiana, from there they moved to Missouri, where she grew to womanhood. When seventeen years of age she united with the Baptist church, of which she remained a member until translated to the church triumphant.

Miss Titus was married to B. A. White in 1856, and to this union were born nine children, seven of whom are living, R. F. White, J. W. White, and Mrs. Alta Bruett, of Oklahoma, Mrs. Nettie Hays of Montana, W. M. White, W. H. White and Mrs. Emily Shaffer of Iowa. She leaves her aged husband, seven children, two sisters, one brother and many friends to mourn their loss.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 1st at 11 a.m., conducted by the pastor of the Earlham M. E. church from the Worthington church. The remains were laid to rest in the Worthington cemetery.

Nancy Elizabeth Titus White

Nancy Elizabeth Titus White was born January 6th, 1837 in Ohio, and departed from this life February 27, 1907, 4:38 p. m. When she was three years old her parents moved to Indiana. From there they moved to Missouri, where she grew to womanhood.

When seventeen years of age she united with the Baptist church of which she remained a member until translated to the church triumphant.

While living in Missouri, she became acquainted with B. A. White to whom Miss Titus was married in 1856.

Mrs. Nancy E. White was the mother of nine children, seven of whom are living; R. F. White, J. W. White and Mrs. Alta Bruett, who are living in Oklahoma, Mrs. Nettie Hays, living in Montana, W. M. White, W. H. White and Mrs. Emily Shaffer, who are living in Iowa. Nancy Jane White departed this life in 1869, and Mrs. Sarah Ann Sampson in 1892. She leaves two sisters, one brother, her aged husband, seven children and many friends to mourn their loss.

Friday, March 1st, at eleven o’clock a. m. The funeral services were conducted by the pastor of the Earlham M. E. church from the Worthington M. E. church in the presence of a large congregation of sympathizing neighbors and friends. The remains were laid to rest in the Worthington cemetery.
