Page 1Death of SARAH PURSELL
Sarah Ellis Pursell was born in Logan county, Ohio, May 19, 1851. She moved to Iowa with her parents when quite young where she grew to womanhood. She was united in marriage to J. M. Pursell, Sept. 10, 1874.
To this union were born nine children, three dying in infancy. The rest of them were all present at the time of her death except Minnie Dom Braska, who lives in Wyoming; one brother was also present, J. M. Barleon, who lives 2 miles south of Leon.
She leaves to mourn their loss her husband, six children, four brothers and four sisters.
She died February 12, and the funeral services were conducted from the home by Rev. E. E. Bennett of the Christian church, assisted by Rev. Pennock of the Church of Christ, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Winterset cemetery.
