Mrs. Hickey, living a mile north of town, died early Sunday morning, after a very short illness. She awakened her husband, telling him she was very ill, and he ran to the L.P. Johnson home to telephone for the doctor, and while he was only a few minutes reaching her, she passed away before medical aid could be given. She was around 65 years of age and was caring for two small granddaughters in the home.
Funeral services will be planned when the daughter arrives from Michigan.
