Yesterday morning Mrs. Hugh Ballentine, mother of the Ballentine boys, was found dead in her bed. She had been in her usual good health when retiring. She made her home on the old home place and her son, Eck, and a little granddaughter made their home with her. Tuesday afternoon the old lady took a bath, after which she felt some pain about the heart, but had apparently recovered. At night she and the little girl lay down on the floor in front of a window to cool off, as was their custom. About midnight she woke the little girl up and told her she had better get to bed, and that she would follow soon. The next morning about five o'clock the little girl found her grandmother dead.

Obituary next week.
