A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, 2000, in Rockwood United Methodist Church for Lester M. Tracy, who died Sept. 1 at age 90.
Mr. Tracy was born Nov. 2, 1909, in Winterset, Iowa. He moved to Vanport in 1943, working in the shipyards during World War II, and lived in Gresham since 1946. He owned Tracy Contracting until retiring in 1971. He was a member of the church. In 1930, he married Grace Harvey; she died in 1991.
Survivors include his son, Richard L.; daughters, Carol E., Janet R. and Ann K.; brother, Dr. Harold Tracy; and one grandchild.
Private interment will be in Lincoln Memorial Park. The family suggests remembrances to Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp. Arrangements are by Bateman Carroll Funeral Chapel.
