Charlotte M. Cole, 83, of Ennoble Manor Care Center, died at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 25, 2000, at the care center.

Chapel services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., where friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery.

She was born on Jan. 5, 1917, in Winterset, Iowa, daughter of Lester M. and Izetta (McCullough) Wade.

She married Joseph Puckett on June 29, 1935, in Oelwein, Iowa. After Joseph died, she married Theodore A. Milroy. She then later married Fred Cole. Her husbands preceded her in death.

She was homemaker and also was a longtime salesperson for Tri-Chem Co.

Surviving are five sons, Russell Puckett, of San Diego; Larry (Rose) Milroy, of Des Moines, Raymond (Paula) Milroy, of Sycamore, Ill., and Frances Milroy and Theodore Milroy, both of Dubuque; a daughter, Donna (Mike) Lindaver, of Dubuque; 18 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Ohl, of Oelwein.

She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Anna Marie Milroy; two granddaughters, Charlotte Porter and Penny Porter; and two brothers, Robert and Harry Wade.

Memorials may be given to the Salvation Army, 1099 Iowa St., Dubuque, Iowa 52001.
