Obituary

John Edwin Egy was born September 13, 1881 and died December 13, 1909, aged 33 years and 3 months.

He was married February 14, 1907 to Mary Evaline Brock, who survives him. There are also remaining to mourn his early departure, his father, J. S. Egy and the ------- who has so well filled the place of his departed mother, Sarah Egy, his step sister, Mrs. Homer Brock, and two step brothers, Fred Neel of Alliance, Nebraska and Archie Neel of Des Moines.

The subject of this sketch lived his entire life on his father's farm, five miles west of Winterset. He was highly esteemed by a large host of friends for the uprightness of his life and the kindness of his heart.

Death of John Egy

John Egy, only son of James Egy of this city, died last Monday and was buried on Tuesday. His disease was a peculiar one and seemed to baffle the physicians. He became ill some weeks ago and partially recovered so that he went to town from the Egy farm where he resided. Shortly after his return home, he suffered a relapse and lived but a few days. Mrs. James Egy is still in a very critical condition. The husband and mother have the sympathy of the entire community.
