Word came to friends here last Friday morning of the death of Charles Merryman, 66, at his home in Rutland after a long period of ill health.
He had been operating an oil station there since May 1st.
Funeral services were held here at the Methodist church Sunday afternoon conducted by the Rev. George Buchanan with burial in the St. Charles cemetery.
He leaves his wife, one son, Donald, of Waterloo and one daughter, Mrs. Bernice Johnson of Battle Creek. Two children having preceded him in death. Also three brothers, two sisters and other relatives.
