St. Charles Special, May 6th

Death of E. E. McClure

E. E. McClure, 73, passed away at his home six miles southeast of St. Charles Wednesday morning after several weeks of illness from cancer of the stomach.

He was well know to the people of the community having lived on his farm 38 years.

He is survived by his wife, three sons, Loren, Frank and Harley and two daughters, Mrs. Gladys McCrea and Mrs. Mabel Minard, all residing near St. Charles. He also leaves 10 grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon at the Methodist church in St. Charles with Rev. W. W. Watson of New Virginia in charge and burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.

CORRESPONDENTS – St. Charles (Delayed)

Edward Everett McClure, 74, died at this home four miles southeast of St. Charles early Wednesday of last week, after an illness of several weeks.

Mr. McClure came from Mills county in 1902 and purchased the Baird farm in Jackson township, Warren county. He is survived by his wife, three sons; Frank, Harley and Lorin and two daughters; Mrs. Horace McCrea and Mrs. Clive Minard.

Funeral services were held in the Methodist church in St. Charles last Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. W. W. Watson of New Virginia. Interment was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
