Jerry Daniel “Danny” Hawker, 52, of Greenfield and formerly of Winterset, died Jan. 5, 2010, at West Bridge Care & Rehabilitation in Winterset.
No public services or visitation are planned. Arrangements were handled by Powers Funeral Home in Creston. Online condolences may be made at www.powersfh.com.
Danny Hawker was born July 26, 1957, in Newton to Jerry Dale and Wanda Mae (Phillips) Hawker and was educated in the Muscatine and Creston schools. In 1979, Danny moved to Bossier City, La. He was united in marriage to Lou Scruse in 1984 and they later divorced. Danny worked as an air brush artist and helped in his parents’ antique store. He also was a volunteer at the Art Center in Winterset. During his time in Louisiana, he attended the Faith Temple Assembly of God. In 1998, he moved to Winterset. In 2001, Danny was united in marriage to Jody Lynne Morris. He spent the last year in Greenfield.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jody Hawker, and his father and grandparents.
He is survived by a daughter, Alexis Hawker of Winterset; a stepson, Tyler E. Hoy of Winterset; his mother, Wanda Hawker of Greenfield; and a sister, Eva Marie Hawker of Hamburg.
