KRISTA HAMILTON, PERU

Krista Ann Hamilton, 22, of Peru died Jan. 8, 2010, in Iowa City due to complications from H1N1.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 12, at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset. Burial was at Peru Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family in Krista’s name.
Krista Hamilton was born June 1, 1987, in Des Moines to Edgar and Susan (Johnson) Hamilton. She attended grade school in Winterset and graduated from Winterset High School in 2005. Following graduation, Krista worked as a CNA for West Bridge Care & Rehabilitation, as well as Winterset Care Center North.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, William Johnson.

She is survived by her 4-month-old son, Jaxson Jones of Peru; her parents, Ed and Susan Hamilton of Peru; two brothers, Frank Burkett of Ft. Hood, Texas, and Jesse Hamilton of Peru; and her grandparents, Dorothy Johnson of Winterset and T.J. and Marilyn Hamilton of Peru.

KRISTA ANN HAMILTON, Peru

Krista Ann Hamilton, 22, passed away Friday, January 8, 2010 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinic in Iowa City, Iowa.

A visitation will be held from 1 to 8 p.m., Monday, January 11 at Ochiltree Funeral Service in Winterset; where the family will be present to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 12 at Ochiltree Funeral Service. Burial will be in the Peru Cemetery, Peru. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Krista is survived by a son, Jaxson Jones; her parents, Ed and Susan Hamilton all of Peru; two brothers, Frank (Nina) Burkett of Ft. Hood, TX; Jesse Hamilton of Peru; two nephews, James and Joseph Burkett; a niece, Paige Burkett all of Ft. Hood, TX and many other family and friends.
