Winterset, IowaJACOB E GARST DIES AT 92 YEARS
Jacob E. Garst of Peru, a resident of Madison county for all of his life, died Saturday, Aug. 15, at a St. Charles nursing home. He was 92 years of age.
Mr. Garst was born in this county April 3, 1872, a son of Samuel and Nancy Fowler Garst. He was married June 14, 1897, to Lena Moore. His entire life was spent in farming.
Funeral services were held Aug. 18 from the Kale Funeral home at Truro in charge of the Rev. Earl Travis. Burial was made in the Peru cemetery.
