Death of Former Winterseter.

Word has been received here announcing the death at New Castle, Wyoming, January 8th, of W. H. Shaw formerly of this place.

It was not known there that he had any friends or relatives, and after his death papers and letters were found on his person which indicated that at one time he had lived here and practiced law. On this information the county attorney at that place addressed a letter to Steele and Robbins of this city with the view of reaching his friends and relatives. Nothing was contained in the letter in the way of particulars further than the time and place of his death.

Mr. Shaw was for several years a resident of this place where he practiced law and held the office of Justice of the Peace. He was well and favorably known here and was a bright and fine appearing young man who was generally liked. His many old friends here will be pained to learn of his sad ending and the termination of a career which promised so much in youth.
