Page 1St Charles Man Killed
W. E. Cole, 45 years old, a farmer living near St. Charles, died at Mercy hospital, in Des Moines Tuesday evening from injuries received when his arm was caught in the belt of a threshing machine Tuesday afternoon and almost torn from his body.
He was rushed to the hospital and an operation was performed in an attempt to save his life. Loss of blood however, before the operation was performed caused his death. He leaves nine children.
