Dorothy Anna Vanhosen was born June 7th, 1903, and died Oct. 3rd, 1904. The funeral was held on Tuesday at the home, conducted by Rev. R. W. Matheney.

Dorothy was a darling baby,

God sent to us one day.
Just fifteen months of pleasure,

The parting is too soon.
But, oh she was a treasure,

A heaven sent comfort and joy.
For she loved us all, and the kitty,

Every dolly, book and toy.
We watched the little intellect

Beginning to unfold.
Many of her joys and wants

She to us in motions told.
How she did run around,

To play at hide and seek.
No matter where her sister hid,

Just there she’d surely peek.
When she found the hiding place

She’d laugh with loudest glee.
And now those little hazel eyes,

No more will sparkle or see.
