Thursday, June 2, 1904Mrs. A. Sayre, after a short illness, passed away at the home of her son, Dr. S. N. Sayre, Sunday morning about 7. Her funeral was held Monday at Elm Grove church, after which interment took place in the King cemetery near Elm Grove.

Mrs. Sayer died Saturday evening at the home of her son, Dr. Sayer of this city. She leaves four sons and five daughters to mourn her loss. The funeral was conducted at the Elm Grove church Monday at three o’clock.

The very large attendance at the funeral of Mrs. Rachel Sayre on Monday demonstrated the high regard in which that good old mother was held. Services occurred in the Elm Grove church, conducted by Rev. Rarick, assisted by Rev. Chas. Hoover.
