Obituary

Priscilla Dysert, better known as Aunt Priscilla Osborn, was born near Marysville, Ohio, June 17, 1822 and died at the home of her youngest daughter in Adair county April 23, 1904. Aunt Priscilla had lived in two centuries and was an early settler of Madison county, having moved to a farm three miles west of Macksburg in 1856. She was the mother of twelve children, all of whom survive her. She was always a patient sufferer, and although of late years deprived of her sight and her hearing imperfect, she was never known to complain, but bore her trouble with true Christian fortitude. The funeral was held April 25th from which many friends were absent by bad weather, and the body interred in the Kivett cemetery.
