Rev. C. H. Young, of St. Charles, was called to Truro on Wednesday last to be present at the funeral of his grandson, Fred Young, whose remains were brought from Oklahoma, where he died of consumption.

Fred E. Young was born in Madison county, Iowa, April 27, 1876, and died in Henessey, Oklahoma, March 27, 1904, aged 24 years and 11 months. He was married to Miss Grace Swearingen November 1, 1902.
In June 1903, he with his family started to travel for his health. They traveled through Kansas, Missouri and finally located in Oklahoma, but of no avail, death claimed him. His last words were: “It is all right, I am going to mother.” He leaves a wife, baby, father, brother and sister.
His remains were brought to Truro and the funeral was held at the Christian church, conducted by Rev. Burnham, and he was laid to rest in the Young cemetery.
