Another Sad Death

Word was received here yesterday evening announcing the death of Mrs. Edna Simpson, better known as Miss Edna Wray, at her home in Campbell, Minn. Her mother, Mrs. Kate Wray received a dispatch yesterday afternoon that Mrs. Simpson had become a mother but was very low. Mrs. Wray immediately prepared to go to her and while at the depot for the purpose of taking the evening train received another message announcing her death. There are no further particulars at this time only as the dispatch stated the remains will be brought here.

Edna Wray was one of the brightest of Winterset’s young girls, and she was a general favorite with all who knew her. Her married life which promised so much was thus cut short at its beginning. The young husband is left to mourn, while the motherless child, if spared, destined to go through life without the knowledge of a mother’s love. Mrs. Wray and the only sister, Lucille, receive a severe blow in Edna’s death, and though words of sympathy and condolence are powerless to assuage their grief, they are, in a measure, comforted by the many who mourn with them.
