Succumbed to the Operation

Mrs. O. J. Ruth, died Friday evening from the result of an operation for an internal hemorrhage. She has been a sufferer for some time, the result of the above, and an operation was finally decided upon which took place Friday afternoon. The physicians were Drs. Thompson, Davisson, Embree and Richards. The operation was scientifically performed, but the nature of the disorder rendered recovery beyond the possibility, and she did not entirely rally from the effects of the anesthetics during the evening. Dr. O. J. Ruth and his wife only recently moved to Winterset from Muscatine, but during their short stay they have made many friends who join the bereaved husband in mourning her sad demise.
