Mary Ellen Cornman, daughter of George and Rebbacca Pratt, was born Sept. 4th, 1880 and departed this life November 6, 1903. She was married to John B. Cornman April 27th, 1898. To this union were born three children who survive her. Death came very suddenly and unexpected. Called suddenly yet we feel that she was ready to go. She stated to her husband that she was not afraid to die and wanted to be buried by her little sister. She was a kind and loving companion and mother. May God comfort the husband and children and help them to live that when the summons comes they may be ready to enter that house which God has prepared for his own. On Sunday, November 8th at the house at 11 o’clock occurred the funeral, conducted by Rev. N. D. Gordon. She was laid to rest in the Rock City cemetery.
