Deserving Sympathy

The home of G. W. Brown has been bereft by the death of a wife and mother, Mrs. Brown, who died on last Thursday, leaving motherless a little girl aged seven and a babe two weeks old. Mrs. Brown will be better remembered in the south part of the county by her maiden name, Ellen Youman. At the time of their marriage, Mr. Brown had all his earnings, a little over $1000, in the Peru bank and lost all through the defalcation of Davies. Added to these misfortunes, he is crippled in the hands and is compelled to earn his living by doing odd jobs of work that do not require strong manual labor.

Note: Cemetery records indicate she is buried in an unmarked grave.
