Services Held For EDITH FRANCIS

Edith G. Francis passed away at Broadlawns hospital June 20, 1970, of a severe heart attack and stroke at the age of 89. She had been ill for six years.

Miss Francis had lived in Earlham and Winterset years ago. She had been an accountant for Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

She was a member of the First Friends church. There were no immediate family survivors.

Funeral services were held at Westover Funeral Home in Des Moines with short graveside services and burial in the Earlham cemetery on Tuesday, June 23. After the graveside services, the nieces, family and friends went to the home of Flossie McBride for visiting and a light lunch.
