LOUIE E. MARXEN Services Held

Funeral services for Louie E. Marxen, 71, of Winterset were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 11, 1979, at Collins Funeral Home. Burial was at the Moon Cemetery at Macksburg with Pastor Robert Toso officiating. Mr. Marxen died Friday, June 8, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Born on March 28, 1908, in Shelby County, he was the son of Whilem F. and Paulene Thompson Marxen. He was married to Elsie A. Cole on May 8, 1954, at Cambridge, Ill., and they moved here about 25 years ago. A mechanic and heavy construction worker, Mr. Marxen retired in 1962.

He was preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers. Survivors include his wife; a brother, George Marxen of Winterset; and four sisters, Mary Martino of Winterset, Martha Kirkpatrick of Des Moines, and Ella Willms and Margaret Hulin, both of Atlantic.
