HOME MEMBER DEAD

Reuben J. Huston, of East Peru, Dies of Heart Disease

Reuben J. Huston, who entered the soldiers’ home from East Peru, Iowa, Nov. 28, 1905, died at the home hospital at 5:30 Friday night of heart disease. Mr. Huston was born in Wellersville, O., April 3, 1848 and enlisted in Company A., Thirty-ninth Iowa Infantry, Feb. 23, 1864, in Des Moines. He was discharged, June 1, 1865, in Louisville, Ky.

His widow, Mrs Alta V. Huston, a member of the home, and eight children survive him. The children are, George W., Winterset; Melvin, Great Falls, Mont.; John and F. J., Kinikinie, S. D.; B. H., Malta, Mont.; Mrs. Helen Alexander, Des Moines, and D. C. Huston and Mrs. Nellie Johnson, city. The funeral will be at 8 o’clock Monday afternoon in the assembly hall. Services will be conducted by the Salvation Army. Burial in the home cemetery.
