August Procnow, a well to do farmer residing in Jefferson township, died Sunday night. He was a man about sixty-five years old and lived all by himself, his wife having deserted him a good many years ago. Though he was comfortably well off he died in filth and squalor, the neighbors saying that his manner of living having more to do with his death than any disease. He has no relatives living except a sister in Germany.
