Page 5, Column 4Death of Mrs. J. W. Smith
Mrs. J. W. Smith, who has been ill for many weeks with consumption, was buried Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Smith had been sick more or less for several years and was taken to western Kansas last summer by her husband, the intention being to go to Colorado. The change of climate failed to do her any good and she was brought home.
She was the daughter of Mrs. Jane Jones. Her sister died with the same disease a year or two ago.
She leaves one child, a daughter about eight years old. She was twenty-eight years old. The sympathy of the entire community is extended to Mr. Smith and his daughter in their sad bereavement.
