At the Ebenezer graveyard last Saturday afternoon occurred the burial of Mrs. Wm. Porter, an elderly lady of 82 years. Mrs. Porter came to this county in 1852 and settled in Walnut township, but at the time of her death her home was in Murray. She was a pioneer of the pioneers, and had seen many of the incidents to the pioneers life. She was then Mrs. Burdick, and after the death of her first husband became Mrs. Jones, and then Mrs. Porter. One by one Father Time gathers them in. ---East Peru Mail.

Note: Buried in the Ebenezer cemetery under the name of Burdick.
