Patterson and Vicinity

Died, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Handy, their little baby child. The funeral was held on last Tuesday, Rev. Long conducting the services.

County Coordinator's note: This is probably Goldie Sarah Handy, daughter of Albert & Mary. The date is about 7 weeks off from the reputed date of Goldie's death but that date (Sep 1st) is not on the gravestone nor have we found any other verification of it. The local items from the outlying towns published in the Madisonian were typically 2 or 3 weeks old at publication. This would put the date of death sometime in early October.
