Page 1DON HARGER, Truro Airman Dies In Vietnam
W.O. 1-C Don R. Harger, 28, of Truro, has been reported as killed in Vietnam, according to word received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman E. Harger, of Truro.
Warrant Officer Harger had been missing since Aug. 17, when the cargo plane on which he served as co-pilot failed to return from a mission.
A graduate of Truro High school, Harger had been in service since September 1957. He had been in Vietnam since July 26.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dee Harger of Brick Town, N.J.; two sons, Don, Jr., aged 3 and Frank, aged 2; two brothers, Harold Harger of Des Moines and Herman E. Harger, Jr., of Murray; and a step-grandmother, Mrs. Lou Harger of Leon.
Requiem services were to be held in New Jersey.
