Death of MRS. ANNETTA FRAIR

Mrs. Annetta Frair, a long time resident of Madison county, died in the local hospital on last Thursday evening, after a week's illness. She is survived by one daughter, Mayme E. Mrs. Frair's husband passed away in 1910, she also having lost five sons and daughters. Mrs. Frair was well known and greatly respected by all who knew her.

A short funeral service was held at the home on East Green street Saturday morning, conducted by Rev. Corkill of Menlo, assisted by Rev. W. J. Stewart of Oskaloosa. Interment took place at Knoxville, the deceased having been taken overland immediately following the service here.

After arriving at Knoxville another service was held at the home of Mrs. Booth, an old friend of the family, which Rev. W. J. Stewart conducted.

MRS. ANNETTA FRAIR

Catherine Annetta Frair was born near Mt. Morris, N.Y., Oct. 19, 1854 and died at the hospital in Winterset, Sept. 21, 1922 at the age of 67 years, 11 months and 2 days. She was united in marriage to Fayette M. Frair on Dec. 4, 1875. To this union six children were born, all but one having preceded her to the better land, Mayme E. being the only one living.

They moved to Iowa in 1880 and lived on a farm near Knoxville. In 1884 they moved to Des Moines and in 1898 to Peru, where her husband departed this life on Jan. 5, 1910. She and her daughter moved to Winterset in November 1915, where they have since resided.

She was converted and united with the church in her youth and has ever since been an earnest Christian. Just a few hours before death came, she told Rev. Stewart of her faith and readiness to go. Mrs. Frair, was a devoted wife and affectionate mother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Rev. C. K. Corkill, a former pastor, held a short service at the home on Saturday morning, after which the body was taken overland to Knoxville. A short service, conducted by Rev. Stewart was held at the home of Mrs. Booth, a long time friend of the family. Burial took place in the family lot in Graceland cemetery.
